Associate Veterinarian (Part-time)

Join our team (in the true sense of the word) of dedicated and dynamic veterinary professionals and help us care for the Capital District's neediest pets! Experience providing high-quality, high-volume spay-neuter service is a plus, as this position is primarily surgical, but we are always willing to train the right person. The right person is someone who loves a fast pace, and is flexible, creative and maintains a sense of humor when things go sideways. Must be comfortable providing vaccinations and spay-neuter services for the pets of low-income owners, as wells as the full gamut of veterinary care for shelter animals. Our surgical suites are operational from Sunday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. We are seeking 16 hours of coverage per week and are flexible in arranging those hours. Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) (full-time)

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is seeking a full- or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to help us carry out our mission to enrich the lives of animals and the people who love them. As a key member of our veterinary team, the LVT assists in surgery and recovery, carries out laboratory duties and provides medical care for shelter and public pets attending our clinics. The ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary technician in NYS, has strong communication and computer skills, a sense of humor and thrives in a collaborative environment where priorities often shift quickly.

Animal Care Associate (full-time)

Animal Care Associates are responsible for providing the Five Freedoms to all of the animals in the care of MHHS. Animal Care Associates clean and feed pets, provide daily enrichment, ensure the pet's living environment is appropriately outfitted, and monitor behavioral and medical health, reporting any issues to appropriate staff. Animal Care Associates serve as our primary adoption counselors, using a conversational approach to match people and pets. Starting wage: $14.00 per hour.
