Snuffle Mat Seminar

Thursday, July 23
6-8 pm

A dog's nose and brain were made to hunt, track, burrow, sniff and snort. They were made to WORK! Nose work or snuffing capitalizes on this natural desire to sniff. Dogs' noses have 300 million olfactory receptors that make them 10,000 times better at smelling than humans. By using a snuffle mat, you tap into a dog's primal instincts and give them a job to do.

Staff will guide you in a hands-on demonstration of how to make snuffle mats and the necessary materials will be provided. If you wish to make one for your own dog, a $10 minimum donation is required for each mat. If you would like to make one for a shelter dog, the materials and learning are free!
