Bella
I adopted Bella (then Devir) from MHHS back in 2011 on my birthday, after my year-old dog had passed away from cancer. She was a tiny, lanky thing, maybe a few months old, with an upper respiratory infection that was later determined to be FVR. She walked in zigzags and frequently into walls because of tiny cataracts in her eyes, and when I first met her she sneezed right on my face -- so naturally I decided she'd chosen me. When we brought her home she scared my mom by meowing incredibly loudly in the middle of the night, which sounded so much like "hello" that she thought someone was in the house. She still does this. On January 8, 2018, it was seven years since I adopted her. She is enjoying her life to the fullest with three other cats and plenty of corners to twist herself around like a pretzel. Thank you for giving me my best friend.
