Available Positions

Vice President for Development

The Vice President for Development works closely with the CEO, VP for Shelter Operations, VP for Community Operations, and VP for Finance, and provides strategic leadership for the Marketing and Development Team. The position requires a creative individual who will work collaboratively with her/his/their team to build on current fundraising initiatives, and develop new approaches to increase support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and grants. The incumbent is a relationship builder and represents the organization onsite, at public events, and in the media. She/He/They are a brand ambassador and a standard bearer for the organization's adaptive and inclusive culture. Salary ranges from $80,000-$90,000 per year commensurate with experience. Intake & Admitting Associate (part-time)

The Intake & Admitting Associate is responsible for ensuring that everyone who visits the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is met with empathy, respect and professionalism, and is provided with the information and resources they need to reach the best outcome for their animal. Tasks include scheduling appointments; responding to customer questions, concerns and complaints; coordinating with municipal agents and animal control officers; handling monetary transactions; and providing essential reports for accurate billing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills, and work well under pressure. Starting wage: $16.85/hour.

Associate Veterinarian (full- or part-time)

Join our team (in the true sense of the word) of dedicated and dynamic veterinary professionals and help us care for the Capital District's neediest pets! Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) (full- or part-time)

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is seeking a full- or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to help us carry out our mission to enrich the lives of animals and the people who love them. As a key member of our veterinary team, the LVT assists in surgery and recovery, carries out laboratory duties, and provides medical care for shelter and public pets attending our clinics. The ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary technician in NYS, has strong communication and computer skills and a sense of humor, and thrives in a collaborative environment where priorities often shift quickly.
