Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) (full-time)

The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is seeking a full- or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to help us carry out our mission to enrich the lives of animals and the people who love them. As a key member of our veterinary team, the LVT assists in surgery and recovery, carries out laboratory duties and provides medical care for shelter and public pets attending our clinics. The ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary technician in NYS, has strong communication and computer skills, a sense of humor and thrives in a collaborative environment where priorities often shift quickly.

The hours for this position are 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Customer Care Associate (full- and part-time)

The Customer Care Associate is a key member of the operations team, and part of a talented and dynamic team of Customer Care Associates. Customer Care Associates are responsible for ensuring everyone who visits the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is met with empathy and professionalism. The Customer Care Associate provides the highest standards of customer service and ensures that all company policies are followed. Additional tasks include scheduling, responding to customer questions, concerns and complaints, handling monetary transactions and providing essential reports for accurate billing. The person in this position will regularly interact with people from a wide variety of backgrounds including politicians, law enforcement, donors, board members, adopters, low-cost services clients and others.

Animal Care Associate (full-time)

Animal Care Associates are responsible for providing The Five Freedoms to all of the animals in the care of MHHS. Animal Care Associates clean and feed pets, provide daily enrichment, ensure the pet's living environment is appropriately outfitted, and monitor behavioral and medical health, reporting any issues to appropriate staff. Animal Care Associates serve as our primary adoption counsellors, using a conversational approach to match people and pets. Starting wage: $13.20 per hour.
