Director of Veterinary Services

Dr. Holly Baker joined the team in 2018 and provides oversight for the many aspects of shelter medicine that we provide to both shelter animals and our public spay/neuter clients. She performs spay/neuter and other types of surgeries and treatments. Prior to joining MHHS, Dr. Holly worked in small animal practice in Queensbury and Granville N.Y. Before earning her veterinary degree, she gained experience in many aspects of general practice - from kennel care to reception - and worked in non-profit centers in Florida and Vermont as a wildlife rehabilitator. Dr. Holly is happy to be helping animals in her native Capital Region. She enjoys spending her free time with friends, family and her wide variety of pets, and usually a foster house guest or two.
