Brody and Zoey

Brody, Zoey and I just wanted to say thank you to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society for giving me the best cats a person to ask for - Brody (formerly known as Clyde) and Zoey (formerly known as Baby). Back in March of 2009, my boyfriend and I went to the Humane Society looking for a cat to adopt and found Brody. Last May we decided that we wanted him to have a friend so we went to the adoption center at Latham PetSmart to look for a friend and saw Zoey. We were told that she was a very shy cat who does not like to be picked up, but does very well with other animals. They told me that another person had adopted her recently but gave her back as she was not what they expected. Hearing that, I immediately knew I wanted her. We took her home that night. The staff there were so happy that she was going to be getting a new home but very hesitant as they were thinking we might return her like the last person did, since she was a very skittish cat.

I just want to say that Zoey is the most wonderful cat ever! She is super friendly and she loves her brother Brody. He helped her so much and has made her so outgoing. She now lets me hold her while we look out the window at all the birds and stuff outside. She follows me around the apartment and has to know what I'm doing. She loves getting her belly rubbed. She also has this funny little squeak instead of a meow which is so cute. I am so very happy that I found her. I can tell she is really happy with us, she just needed a patient family who would not give up on her because she takes a while to warm up to you.

I am so very thankful to everyone at the Humane Society for helping me find my two wonderful cats!
