Bella
My name is Katie, and I would like to begin by thanking all of you at the Humane Society for all you do each day. I couldn't be happier with Paws, who is now Bella (because I think she is so beautiful!). She has already brought so much joy and companionship to my life it's unbelievable! I honestly can't imagine not having her now that she is home. It only took her about a day or so to become totally comfortable in her surroundings. I was so excited to bring her home (never being allowed to have pets as a child) that I went a little crazy with new toys, a bed, pretty little kitty bowls, etcÂ… only to find out that all she wants to play with is rolled up pieces of paper, and she sleeps either with me at the foot of the bed, or in the recliner in the living room (ha ha). She also doesn't seem very fond of the scratching post I bought her. She looks at it very suspiciously as she walks by it. She does love to sit on my lap and cuddle, and although at first she didn't like to be petted an awful lot, she now loves to be spoiled with love and kisses.
About a week and a half ago I had a very sudden and tragic death in the family, and I can honestly say that Bella made all of those nights that I would have otherwise spent alone in my apartment a little easier to get through. Just having her on my lap to keep me company helped so much.
She has also become the love of a little girl's life that I am a nanny for! I was very cautious at first to bring the 2 ½-year-old around Bella, but now they have become quite good little friends. I've attached two pictures for you all to see.
Thanks so much again!
Katie and Bella :)
