Director of Medical Operations

After 30 years as co-owner of a small business, Jeanette’s foray into the world of animal sheltering began with her mom’s passing and the need to re-home several of her rescued cats. Upon receiving help from a rescue organization, Jeanette began volunteering, which led to a board position where she was instrumental in opening a low-cost spay/neuter clinic in 2011. This same spay/neuter clinic, located in Saratoga Springs, joined the MHHS family in 2015.

In her current position, Jeanette oversees all medical operations for shelter pets and clinic patients in our Menands Animal Care Center and Saratoga Clinic.  Her business acumen and drive have led to the Society’s success in establishing a seven-day-a-week, fully-staffed veterinary team that provides not only excellent, compassionate care to our own in-house animals, but also low-cost spay/neuter and wellness options to families from all areas of the Capital District. She is at home with her three rescue dogs (and often considers a fourth) and an occasional foster kitten in need of care or socializing.
