Humane Heroes Unleashed
HHU is a volunteer program for kids in grades 6-12. Participants will experience hands-on animal care and assist in animal shelter operations. It's a unique opportunity to work alongside shelter staff to better animals' lives. Participants are expected to take direction well and work hard!

Telling Tails
Telling Tails is a volunteer program for children ages 5-17. Participants can sign up to read to adoptable animals at MHHS on Wednesdays and Sundays between 3 and 5 pm. Reading to animals can boost the confidence of children, provide enrichment for the pet and help pets become more comfortable around people.
