For ages 10-17

Come to MHHS on Monday, December 29 for a unique inside look at veterinary care in the shelter. Attendees will learn about what veterinary medicine looks like in a shelter environment. MHHS staff will teach attendees how to suture a wound, administer basic pet first aid, how to use a microscope to view samples of diseases, what we look for during a physical exam, and more! Students will read real case studies and use what they've learned to decide what kind of treatment each case needs. 

Featuring human and animal guests, students will end the day with a well-rounded understanding of the exciting world of shelter veterinary medicine.
