Mabel

We were searching for the perfect companion for our family. With my husband being in the Army and working nights and having a toddler, we needed a dog that would quickly adapt to our crazy, unscheduled lifestyle. We were looking for an older dog with experience with kids that also liked to play and snuggle. My fiance and I were frequent visitors at the Humane Society but one day I had the urge to go alone. I initially went to meet a dog I saw on the website but was instantly drawn to Mabel. She reached her paw out to me and my son and he connected to her instantly.

I was scared to bring home a pit bull with a toddler in the house, but instantly they became the best of friends. She is the most loving dog you will ever meet and her and my son instantly bonded. Of all the dogs in our neighborhood, she is the most obedient. She never strays from our yard and stays close to us on walks. She has even adapted to running with my son and I every day. With love you can accomplish anything, and I have learned from Mabel that a little love goes a long way. This beauty was not allowed on the couch at first but now she's the keeper of the couch and a frequent sleeper of the bed. This dog is living the dream and has made our family complete! We couldn't imagine our lives without her.
