Pyewacket
"Bell, Book and Candle."
Being a cat, he checked out his new home immediately and decided that his safe place would be the bathroom, especially the window, where he can follow the comings and goings on outside. He must take his lineage pretty seriously as I believe the Siamese were the guards of the presidential palace in Siam back in the day. He is very affectionate, if a tad uncertain at the moment in this strange new home, but greets me with a chirp or quiet meow and enjoys head rubs.
Three days later, he discovered the window over the kitchen sink, which provided him with a different view and he enjoys laying on the towel doing what cats do best: napping. He caught a cold -- not surprising because of the stress of the changes he's been through -- but has seen the doctor and is on nose drops which he's pretty good about getting. Guess he's willing to put up with some unpleasantness for the chance to get off the streets as he was a stray. He'll be visiting the vet again in a week for follow up and the second distemper shot and deworming. He is a totally sweet, kind, patient (and handsome) kitty and I am very lucky to have met him and have the chance to make him part of my family.
