Jackson Browne

My partner and I adopted Jackson Browne (formerly known as Jack) a week ago. From the minute we saw his picture on the Mohawk Hudson website, we fell in love with him. I brought him home Saturday afternoon, sat down in my chair in the living room, and he immediately jumped in my lap and fell asleep. He is the sweetest, gentlest, most loving dog I have ever known. He thinks he is a lap dog, which is pretty interesting considering he weighs 55 pounds now.

Yesterday we introduced Jackson Browne to the great outdoors on a short hike to Buttermilk Falls in the Catskills. Our friend brought his two dogs, one of whom he had adopted from MHHS the day before (Jasper). We were a little anxious to see how they would get along, but Jackson Browne was a peach. We were nervous about letting him off the leash, but again, Jackson Browne proved us wrong and stayed with the pack. He seemed hesitant at first hiking, but pretty soon was the leader of the pack of three dogs. He was AWESOME.

We are sooooo happy to have Jackson Browne be a part of our family. THANK YOU, Mohawk Hudson!
