Snooze

We brought Snooze home in 2001. She was adopted with her sister, and for whatever reason the people returned her because she was sick. She was just a kitten with an upper respiratory infection. She grabbed at my husband as he walked by. Her little claw caught his shirt and he stopped to see who it was. Everybody said they didn't even know she was there as she was so far in the back corner and wouldn't come to the front. Needless to say, my husband fell in love with her. When we brought her to the counter she strutted her stuff across the counter as if to say, "See me, I've got a home!"

On the way home she laid down on the dashboard and fell asleep. She would play very hard for a short time, then flop down right where she was and take a snooze -- hence her name, Snooze. She was afraid of strangers and didn't want to be held a lot. We just let her take her time to adjust.

Now, many years later, Snooze has become the cuddler of the house. She will talk up a storm when she wakes up from her naps, which she still takes a lot of. She will go to my husband and jump up on him (incidently, you can't be looking at her when she jumps up on you) and get comfortable, then look across the room at me, run over to me and do the same thing. She will go back and forth between us like she hasn't seen us in ages even though she was just sitting with us.

Snooze has become a real cutie. As you can see, she never misses a meal. People mistake her for a boy because of her size. She doesn't take anything from her three brothers and two sisters. In fact, she keeps the peace in the house; she will go stand up for whoever is getting picked on.

Thanks so much for giving us such a precious little one.
