Gus
I adopted Gus, formerly named Poppy, from the Humane Society in May 2006. From the first time I saw him, it was love at first sight. I held his little body in my arms and he just sat there, so content and beautiful. I knew he was the one for me. I took Gus home and he instantly stole my heart with his adorable ways and quirky attributes.
Gus is the cleanest cat I know. After eating his cat food, he "sweeps" the floor with his paws to make sure there aren't any stray crumbs. Gus is also the only cat that I know who plays fetch. He will bring you a toy, and you throw it thinking that he is just going to bat it around, but then you turn around to find Gus standing there with the toy in his mouth waiting for you to throw it for him.
He is also the sweetest cat I have ever known. Every night we sleep together. He has his own side of the bed, with his pillows that he sleeps on every night and he makes sure to give me lots of kisses before he goes to sleep.
Gus is a very accepting and loving creature. He loves everyone and anything. Shortly after getting Gus, my roommate and I got another cat, Satine. She was a little white furball and we were scared at first at what Gus's reaction would be. He loved her and still does. It's his little sister. Yeah, she bugs him every now and then, but you can see how much he truly does love her. Then after getting a new roommate, her cat came into the picture. Just another friend for Gus to love. He loves to play and to snuggle, and oh, what a talker. We can go back and forth "talking" to each other for a long time and I'm telling you, I swear I heard him say "I love you" once. haha
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you guys for giving me the most amazing gift in my life and I want you all to know that Gus is safe and happy. I would give anything for that big ol' orange fur ball. I just love him!
