Niles was brought in as a stray, and could hardly walk. He was a very large chocolate lab / pit bull mix, about two years old. He was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and lyme disease, and once treated showed some improvement, but still had difficulty walking. He was then diagnosed as having a cruciate ligament injury, and a dislocated hip! The hip was corrected, and he was put on crate rest for the ligament. He was in foster care 11 months, and attended obedience classes at the shelter. There is a happy ending though! Once fully healed, Niles was adopted by a gentleman from Ravena.
