Teddy
We adopted our Maltipoo Teddy, formerly known as Snowball, on November 14, 2012. He was rescued from a hoarding situation when he was two months old. He was only four pounds and had ear mites, eye infections, fleas and a few other conditions, which must've been horrible for the little puppy to endure. He was treated by the fine doctors at MHHS and was well enough to be placed in foster care in August. We had thought about getting another dog to keep Chloe, our 10-year-old Bolognese, company but the time was never right. In early November a co-worker told me about Teddy and his plight. His story broke our hearts and my husband and I decided that the time was finally right. We met Teddy and his foster mother, Lillian, and found him to be the most lovable, happy little puppy. It was love at first sight and we decided right then and there that Teddy would become a part of our family.
Teddy loves to run in the yard (like a rocket!) and can entertain himself with a leaf! He is so playful and energetic and makes us laugh all of the time with some of his silly antics. Teddy has kisses for everyone and loves to snuggle. He gets along very well with Chloe and they even share each other's crates. He loves playing with all the dogs at the Animal House in Cohoes on the days he gets groomed. No dog is too big or too small for Teddy! From the first night, Teddy slept in bed with us, Chloe at the foot of the bed and Teddy at the top of the bed. It's so nice to wake up to two white, furry little buddies looking lovingly in your face just waiting for your eyes to open!
Teddy is now 9 months old and a healthy 10 pounds. We feel that fate brought us together and are truly blessed to have Teddy as part our family. Thank you to Lillian for being a wonderful foster mom and for nurturing and loving Teddy.
