Stormy

We adopted Stormy from MHHS in August 2011. We did not change her name because we were told it definitely suited her. We often call her just Storm.

Storm has become a true part of our family. She is VERY loyal to us all and gives back ten-fold the affection she receives. She loves to tear around the fenced-in backyard, chew on her toy fox, sleep in the chair next to someone and tour the neighborhood on her leash. She is a handful to walk as she is always dying to surge ahead and lead the way, but she is slowly getting better at heeling because we insist. She really wants to please and is very smart.

Storm definitely has true hound in her and is a faithful watchdog. While appreciating her protectiveness, we're working on helping her see that our extended family and neighbors are not a threat to her "pack." She will be taking some obedience classes with us at MHHS starting in a few weeks.

We truly could not imagine a family without Stormy. Thank you to MHHS and her foster mom for taking such great care of her until she came to live with us. By the time we adopted her, she was very healthy with a lovely shiny black coat and had obviously been very loved while she was with you and her foster mom.
