Sandy
There was a small, terrified dog at the Shelter last winter who was snapping at everyone. She seemed to be a nice dog but was just frightened, so they asked me (Bill Hay) to take her home and see what I could do with her. She turned out to be absolutely wonderful and loved all people, cats and other dogs. She was soon adopted by a couple who were just moving to a new house in Massachusetts. Here are some emails from her family:

February 2006:
We have been very busy working on our new house. Sandy is quite involved and loves to follow Nick around when he is sawing and hammering. She is doing great and is so much fun to have around!
June 2006:
Nick went to France in late April and Sandy and I went to visit just a couple weeks ago. She is small enough to travel with me in the cabin in a carrier. It was only a 6 hour flight and she slept the whole way. When she saw Nick she leapt up into his arms, she was so excited! Since then she has been running all over his property, going to restaurants, meeting all sorts of French dogs and swimming every chance she gets. She loves the water!
So I am back here in the US, working and Sandy and Nick are still having fun in France. Unfair! Hopefully they will be back over here within a month. I miss her a lot (and Nick too). She is truly having a great time both here and in France. Over there dogs go into restaurants and basically everywhere with their owners so Sandy loves the trips to the bakery and sitting under the table in restaurants, getting occasional treats. I'm just concerned she doesn't get too chubby over there!
