Sammy

We met Sammy on St. Patrick's Day in 2009. There was something about him we just couldn't resist. We got him home that night and watched a movie about a boy and his dog. Sammy watched the whole thing with us and fell asleep in front of the television.

Yes, he liked to bolt from the yard and run until he was tired. Yes, he liked to bark and bark and bark some more, just to get the point across. But he always made us laugh and smile. He was mischievous, he chewed on everything, he sometimes kept us all awake at night with his cat-chasing yelp.

Now that we're all used to each other and the patterns of the house, Sammy is our good friend. He's always there to keep a lap warm. He never disappoints us with his facial expressions and verbosity. We communicate with Sammy and he is absolutely family. Adopting Sammy was the right thing to do. We're glad he found us.
