Nemo

We adopted Nemo last year from MHHS and he has brought so much joy and craziness to our family. We had only stopped into the shelter to see the dogs and learn how the adoption process worked. We had no intention of leaving with a dog that day. However, a sweet little Chihuahua mix stole our hearts. As a huge Disney fan, when I saw his name on the cage door, I knew we had found our Nemo. :-)

After a week or so at home, he began to show his spunk and tenacity. He is full of energy and very protective of his home and his favorite toy, Milkbone. He is also my little shadow, following me around, and is always so excited when I come home from work. He loves to be outside the chasing birds off of his lawn, playing with the kids and laying in the warm sun.

Last summer the rain detoured us from a fishing trip to a visit to the shelter, and serendipity changed our lives for the better.
