Mr. Hemmingway
Hello,
I adopted Ziggy (now Mr. Hemingway - no, he's not a Hemingway cat, I just love the name!) on Monday of this week. It was unknown if he would be good with dogs, as he hadn't lived with them at all in the past, and it was recommended to keep him separated from our dogs for two weeks. Unfortunately, Hemi did not agree with this two-week segregation! He wanted to sniff around and meet everyone. After about two hours of being home, Hemi was meowing and begging to come out. We caged the dogs up and let Hemi out. He sniffed around and fell asleep on the couch. By the next day, he was sleeping on the couch a couple feet away from our calmer dog, Bella.
Today, he's sleeping on the arm of the couch while the two dogs lay next to him. You can see him sleeping in a picture, and a dog's head a couple feet away! Hemi has such a great laidback personality that he's adapting amazingly to two creatures he's never even had experience with. He hasn't hid once since arriving here! He's just the greatest! He still has a room available to him and only him, where his food and litter box are, but he really has no interest in staying in there if everyone's out here.
Thank you so much for such a great, and I mean great cat! I can't believe anyone gave him up.
