Maggie

We adopted our little girl, Maggie (a six-year-old Beagle mix), from MHHS in February 2014. When we came to meet her, she was a shy girl with her tail between her legs and the saddest little face I'd ever seen. We knew instantly that we wanted her to be a part of our family.

It has been amazing to see her transformation -- how our once shy little girl has become so happy and confident, as if she knows this is her forever family. She has changed our family for the better.

After having her for about two months we decided to find her a Beagle sibling (as she tends to be breed selective) and have since adopted our two-year-old boy, Rocky. He keeps her more active and has brought out even more of her playful side. She seems to love being the "big sister" and bosses him around at times like any big sister should.

We are happy we found her picture and story on the MHHS website and decided to come meet her that day. Because of her, our family is now complete.
