Hudson
I saw this cute little Rat Terrier on the site in August, and with chickens around you can always use a good ratter. I went down to look and how could you not fall in love with this little guy? We did the meet and greet with my other dogs and all went well.
Little Duke, as he was known then (was a stray so they weren't sure what his real name was), apparently had what was thought to be sunburn since he is mostly white and delicate. But, we're now thinking it's allergies so he is going to get special food and nice bubble baths.
He has fit in from day one, no interest in chasing the cats or the chickens...or my other dogs, for that matter. He will soon be trained (hopefully) on the invisible fence. He's a cutie. I always go for the older dogs (he is about 6 and wasn't neutered when he came in) because they deserve a second chance. I hope he has a long, happy life with us down on the farm. Thanks to the people that work at the shelter for making the decision to adopt an easy one.
PS: Three of the four dogs in the photo came from your shelter over the years and a few more have passed on.
