Chardoney

Last year we took in a Siamese kitten. As he grew he became more and more rambunctious and vocal at night because he was lonely and wanted to play and since we are not cats and have to work in the morning it was just not working out for any of us. We thought we would adopt a kitten so he would have a playmate and let us get a little sleep! Looking on the MHHS website there were a lot of younger cats and kittens but one really caught my eye. Her name was Chardoney and she had come in with a litter of her own - of course all of the kittens were adopted but she was left behind. When we went in to the shelter to try to find the right cat for us little miss Chardoney would not stop purring and rubbing against us. Once we heard how long she had been there and how over-crowded the cat room was, we decided we didn't want a kitten and that she was the right cat for us. After almost a year of living with us it really was the best decision we could have made. Chardoney (who is now called "Good Cat") is so mellow and sweet in nature. She loves to just sit in the window and look outside or sleep. She has put on a good amount of weight and she always seems grateful to have a home. She is still a little leery of strangers and loud noises but when she decides it's time to be pet and loved she is a purring machine. Her and "Bad Cat" love each other and now they play together all night. They are inseparable and very happy. We couldn't have asked for a more good-natured pet. Thank you so much for making it possible to make her part of our family!!!
