Buster

Buster was adopted in September of 2005. My (then) fiancee and I had been looking for a Pug, and we really wanted to rescue one. When Buster popped up on Petfinder.com one day, Justin and I rushed down to the Humane Society to meet him! When we came in, all of the other dogs were barking but Buster was quiet. We approached Buster's pen and he turned his body to the side and pressed it up against the gate. He had figured out that he'd get more pets if he turned sideways!

We fell in love and adopted him on the spot. Turns out, that same day, my husband proposed to me! He got me a ring and I got us Buster — he is our engagement dog! We are happily married since April of 2006 and Buster is a full-fledged member of our family! He is the sweetest dog I've ever met; he attracts a crowd wherever he goes (and loves the attention!). He defies all the rules of Pugs - loves to walk for miles, loves the heat (sitting out in the sun or under the covers), and he even drives! Thank you for allowing for us to have Buster in our lives — he has brought us so much joy and laughter. We don't know what we'd do without him.
