Bucca
I adopted Bucca back in July of 2009. I had stopped in early that day to look at the kittens that were up for adoption at Latham PetSmart adoption center. I had my eye on a little black and white kitty and planned to stop back later that night to adopt him. When I returned later that night, the kitten was gone, but there was Bucca. He had just been brought into PetSmart and was still a little loopy from being neutered. Named after his location of rescue, Buca Di Beppo, Bucca was a dark chocolate two-month-old kitten with eyes as bright as headlights.
Bucca just turned 1 on April 27, 2010. He is happy, loved, and healthy! His coat has turned mostly black with a hint of dark chocolate the shines in the sunlight. I swear this cat is part dog! He sits for his treats, plays fetch and has that Javanese howl when he wants dinner. He is a riot to watch and is as playful as ever. He hates when I leave but loves to catch a nice catnap in the sun. He sleeps on my head at night, which has taken some time to get used to but he's worth it!
I couldn't see my life without Bucca...or Bucca Cat as we usually call him. He is a cat that is always bringing smiles to everyone's face. Thank you, Mohawk Humane Society, for rescuing this terrific cat and allowing me to have and love this amazing kitty!
