Brussel and Sprout

I went to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society looking to adopt one adult cat and one kitten. I had originally seen Brussel on another visit to the shelter and fell in love with him and another kitten. Unfortunately, I hadn't moved into my new place yet so I couldn't take them with me. When I went back the following weekend to adopt them, the kitten had already been adopted but Brussel was still there. I was thrilled! I knew I wanted him; however, I had to look around for a kitten to take home along with him. It was a tough decision, as all of them were so cute. Then I saw Curley. He was so tiny and so cute and, much like my darling Brussel, he was also grey. I took him into the play area to see if we would get along. He is so frisky and playful but got tired and curled up into a ball and decided to take a nap in my purse. I knew then that I had to have them both. The staff members at the shelter were thrilled that I was taking both boys with me, but cautioned that sometimes cats do not get along. I took them both home and decided on my way that Curley's name had to change -- he definitely didn't look like a Curley. When we got home I decided to see how they would react to each other and I opened the boxes. They stood sniffing each other, walked over and both curled up in my front window and went to sleep. They have been fairly inseparable since then. Curley has since been renamed and is now called Sprout. So I have a Brussel and a Sprout and they are the loves of my life. And they truly love each other.

Thank you so much for giving me my babies!
