Brady

I adopted Douglas (now Brady) almost a month ago. I did forgo the Douglas moniker for the little guy and have been calling him Brady. (I'm a big New England Patriots fan!) He answers to it and hasn't seemed to mind the change.

Brady is just absolutely wonderful. He has such a fantastic personality. He meows at me all the time, loves to play and snuggle, and God forbid I am EVER caught playing on my phone - he puts a stop to that immediately. I had to do some work at home one evening and it took me a few tries before he finally stopped walking across my laptop. He is the most lovable little guy - we play from the moment I get home from work until I make dinner (when he usually takes a nap) and then for a while before bedtime. We've also discovered that he loves to play fetch - usually at about 5:30 a.m. He likes to pounce on me when I'm lying in bed - it's his own little game. He loves to climb up on the windowsills and stick his nose into the open window to breathe in the fresh air. I have an electric fireplace in the living room that has a glass front, and he's not quite sure about the kitty who lives in there - sometimes he'll be dashing around and just stop to look at himself in the reflection.

Brady curls up with me on the couch and on my bed every night. He has to be touching me, in some way, at all times. The other night, he slept laying across my shin - I'm not sure how it was comfortable, but he enjoyed it. He follows me around every morning when I'm getting ready for work and meows at me - I like to think he's telling me he doesn't want me to leave - and then he does the same thing when I get home in the afternoon. Maybe he's asking me about my day?

He's also currently obsessed with the bathroom sink - that's where he hangs out while I'm getting ready - and he likes to have the water on a little bit to play with. He's also stolen several bobby pins off the sink, and likes to bat my contact case around (even though he has 100 toys laying around). I've had a few friends come over to meet him, and he just loves everyone - and everyone loves him too. He is just a complete little lover. I couldn't be happier that I brought him home. I am a very proud Mom!

I've attached a photo of Brady in his new home.
