Responsibilities (can include, but are not limited to):
- Uncover and raise sinking grave stones in the pet cemetery
- Trim around larger graves and trees
- Restore and maintain planted area in bed around MHHS sign
- Weeding and replanting area around St. Francis statue
- Weeding in other areas of the grounds
- Raking leaves
Qualifications:
- 16 years or older
- Light lifting
- Able to stand/walk for duration of task
- Ability to keep information confidential pertaining to shelter animals, employees, other volunteers and patrons
Training Requirements:
- Attend volunteer orientation
- Complete volunteer application and sign waiver
- Interview with Volunteer Manager if requested
Commitment:
- As needed or as arranged with Volunteer Manager
Tools used (can include, but are not limited to):
- Shovels
- Edging tools
- Trowels
- Sod-cutting tools
- Weed whackers
- Large bypass and small garden pruners
- Hedge and grass trimmers
- Probing tools - long screwdrivers
