Senior Vice President for Operations

Gail is our Senior Vice President for Operations and serves as Chief of Department for our Humane Law Enforcement Program. She started with MHHS as a volunteer in January 2017 and joined our staff later that year. In her role, Gail oversees all operational areas, including intake, sheltering, adoptions, behavior, veterinary care, volunteers, community outreach, humane education and humane law enforcement. Gail holds a PhD in Anthropology and is a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA), and a New York State Peace Officer. She says her proudest achievement to date, however, is being named "Swiss Army Knife of Operations" in the annual staff awards ceremony. Gail lives in the Capital District with three large-headed and willful rescue dogs, a cat her dad found in a gazebo, and her very patient husband.
